POSTION:
Technical Writer/Communications Infrastructure Support
Compensation:

Summary of the Position:
Work as a consultant for the one of or the
"largest sports conglomerate in the world"
.
The Primary project would be Technical Writing, updating Documentation. Other projects include assisting with the day to day management of the communication infrastructure which consists of Cisco Routers and Switches, Cisco VoIP and Microsoft Exchange 2003/7.
The successful candidate will join a team of professionals who are responsible for systems and infrastructure. The qualified candidate would have excellent Grammar and Interpersonal relationship. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Visio. Advanced knowledge of Cisco Switches (4000, 4900 and 6500 series), Cisco Routers (3700, 3800), Cisco ASA’s, Checkpoint Firewall-1 and Microsoft Exchange.
This is a Temporary (long-term) position that can turn into a Full-Time position.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical Writing
Updating Documentation
Support the stability and operations of the Client by offering in a 24x7x365 highly available production data center settings, adhering to existing policies on changes & incident management.
Install, configure, and maintain Communications Equipment and Server environments performing pre/post provisioning tasks such as build out, inventorying, backups, monitoring, and patching.
Deploy routers, swtiches, firewalls, Exchange servers, VOIP, updates and new features for the Client`s Communications Infrastructure Dept and into production environments.
Demonstrated ability to make good decisions that ensure quick resolution of events.
Perform after-hours or weekend server maintenance as needed and participate in on-call rotation, receiving and responding to afterhours alerts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines and objectives in high pressure situations.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of three years hands-on Cisco Router and Switch implementation and support.
Minimum of Three years hands on Microsoft Exchange Administration and Support
Experience with Cisco VOIP
Minimum of three years experience using monitoring and reporting tools.
Minimum of three years working in a mid to large sized data center environment.
Minimum of three years experience implementing and supporting technologies such as DNS, IIS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, CIFS, ADS, SNMP and other network services.
Minimum of three years experience working with networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, web content filters, VOIP, and VLANs.
Maintaining systems documentation.
Coordinates systems repair with outside vendors and escalates unresolved problems to expedite resolution.
Education and Experience Required:

Certifications in Computer Information Systems or related field (CCNE, CCNA preferred).
Minimum of three years hands-on relevant technical experience within a Data Center
Degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field.
